Terms of Service

Last updated 12 October 2026

The rules for using BULUO, whether you train with a gym on it or run your gym on it. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

01About these terms

BULUO is operated by Buluo Limited (company number 826942), a company registered in Ireland and based in Cork, Ireland. "We", "us" and "our" mean that company.

These terms apply to the BULUO mobile app, the gym-branded mobile apps built on BULUO, the web dashboard, the public booking pages and this website, which we call the Service. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Some sections apply to everyone. Section 5 applies to members, meaning people who book, train or buy from a gym, studio or coach. Section 6 applies to Businesses, meaning the gyms, studios and coaches who use the Service to run their business, and their staff.

02What BULUO is, and what it is not

BULUO is software. It lets Businesses publish timetables, take bookings and payments, manage memberships and staff, and talk to their members, and it lets members find, book and pay those Businesses.

We do not run classes, employ coaches or provide training, nutrition or medical advice. Each Business is independent of us and is solely responsible for the services it provides, its prices, its policies, its premises, its staff and its own legal compliance. When you buy a membership, a class or anything else from a Business, your contract for it is with that Business, not with us.

03Your account

  • You must be at least 16 to create an account. A parent or guardian may add a younger person to their own account as a family member and is responsible for that profile.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
  • One person, one account. Do not share an account or create one for someone else without their permission.

04Acceptable use

When using the Service you must not:

  • break the law or infringe anyone else's rights;
  • harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against other people, or post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or misleading;
  • send spam or unsolicited marketing, or message people who have not agreed to be contacted;
  • upload malware, probe or attack the Service, get around security or access limits, or access data that is not yours;
  • scrape the Service, copy it, reverse engineer it or resell it, except where the law gives you a right we cannot exclude;
  • use the Service to build a competing product.

We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.

05Terms for members

  • Bookings and cancellations: each Business sets its own rules on booking, cancellation, late cancellation, no-shows and waitlists. The policy that applies is shown in the app before you book and may include a fee or the loss of a class credit.
  • Memberships and passes: prices, billing dates, minimum terms, freezes and cancellation terms are set by the Business and shown before you buy. A recurring membership renews and is charged automatically until it is cancelled under those terms.
  • Payments: payments are processed by Stripe and are paid to the Business. By saving a card you authorise the Business to charge it for what you buy and for any fees due under its policies. If a payment fails, the Business may retry it and may restrict booking or check-in until it is settled.
  • Refunds: refunds are decided by the Business under its policies and your statutory rights. If you have a dispute about a purchase, contact the Business first. We can help you reach them.
  • Your statutory rights: nothing in these terms affects the rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live, including any right to cancel a purchase made online.
  • Your health: exercise carries risk. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for you and for telling your coach about anything that affects your training. Take medical advice if you are unsure. Information in the app, including programmes, nutrition figures and automated suggestions, is general guidance and is not medical advice.

06Terms for Businesses

  • Authority: you confirm that you are entitled to enter into these terms on behalf of the Business, and you are responsible for everyone you give staff access to.
  • Subscription and fees: our plans and prices are shown on our pricing page or agreed with you in writing. Plans are billed in advance and renew each month until cancelled. Fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change.
  • Payments from your members: payments are processed by Stripe through a connected account in your name, under Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. You are the seller. You are responsible for your prices, taxes, refunds, chargebacks and disputes, and for any fees Stripe or we charge on those payments as shown in your dashboard.
  • Your members' data: you are the data controller for your members' personal data and we process it on your behalf. You must have a lawful basis for the data you hold and import, give your members the privacy information the law requires, and respond to their requests. Our processing on your behalf is governed by our data processing terms, available on request.
  • Messaging: you must only message people who have agreed to be contacted in that way, and honour every opt-out. If you connect a WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook account, you must own it, follow Meta's terms and policies for it, and pay Meta's charges for messages sent from it.
  • AI features: where you switch on an AI feature, you are responsible for reviewing what it produces and for anything sent to your members or the public in your name.
  • Your content: you are responsible for the timetable, prices, policies, programmes and other content you publish, and you confirm you have the right to use it.
  • Leaving: you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period, and export your members, schedule and payment records from the dashboard before you go.

07Content you post

You keep ownership of what you post: messages, community posts, photos, videos, reviews and the like. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and transmit it, only as needed to run the Service and show it to the people you chose to share it with.

You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it. Reviews and ratings must reflect your own genuine experience.

08Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and the BULUO name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it in line with these terms. A gym-branded app's name and logo belong to that Business.

09Third-party services

The Service relies on services from other companies, including Stripe for payments, Apple and Google for app distribution and notifications, and Meta for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger messaging. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

10Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may carry out maintenance, and we may add, change or remove features. If we remove something a Business materially relies on, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

11Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Subject to that:

  • We are not liable for the acts or omissions of a Business, a coach or another member, including the quality or safety of a class or session, an injury at a Business's premises, or a Business's failure to provide what you paid it for.
  • If you are a Business, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in any 12 month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
  • If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, but not for loss that was not foreseeable.

12Suspension and ending

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the account settings in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel what you owe a Business under its own terms.

We may suspend or close an account if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, if fees are unpaid, if we are required to by law, or to protect the Service or other people. Where it is reasonable to do so we will give notice and a chance to put things right first.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service or the law changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. If a change is material we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated terms.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the European Union or in the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim in its courts.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
